Blueprints are a type of in-game item that players can use to learn how to craft various items and structures. When a player has a blueprint for a particular item or structure, they can use it to create that item or structure using the resources they have gathered. Each blueprint has a specific set of resources that are required to create the item or structure it corresponds to.

Blueprints are typically obtained by researching them using a research table. Researching a blueprint requires a certain amount of scrap, which is a resource that can be obtained by salvaging other items or structures. Once a blueprint is researched, it is permanently added to the player's inventory and can be used to create the corresponding item or structure as many times as desired.

Blueprints are important in Rust, because they allow players to create advanced items and structures that they would not be able to make otherwise. They also allow players to progress through the game and gain access to new items and features.

Blueprint Wipes

A blueprint wipe in Rust, refers to a server event where all the players blueprints will be wiped from the server. This means that all players will lose all their researched blueprints and will have to research them again in order to use them. Blueprint wipes are usually scheduled by the server administrators, and they are usually done to reset the game economy and balance the game.

The frequency of blueprint wipes varies depending on the server, some servers wipes them every month, while others every 3 or 6 months. This is to prevent players from getting too powerful and dominating the game, and also to give new players a chance to catch up.

It's important to notice that blueprint wipes don't affect the players' items, buildings or resources, just the researched blueprints. This means that players will still have access to all the items and structures they have built, but they will have to research the blueprints again to be able to craft those items or build those structures.
